For BP prefervationiftaf with insomnia one solution, besides writing
e-mail messages late at night, is brain wave relaxation audio tapes. In
the 50's this guy Monroe discovered that input of disharmonic audio
tones to the left and right ear caused the left/right brain to try to
balance the tones and that it is possible to train your brain to mimic
various brain wave patterns as a result. Even you can achieve Alpha!
Monroe went further than relaxation and founded an institute in the Blue
Ridge Mountains where you can receive intensive training using this
audio method in out-of-body tripping. All long-range excursions aside, I
have found the the set of audio tapes available retail to be effective
for inducing deep sleep and when anxiety is particularly difficult at
least slowing down the worries. _Brainwave Suite_, Dr. Jeffrey Thompson,
Acoustic Research Series, The Relaxation Company. 4 tapes. I found my
set in the audio section at Borders. Read the label.
