I used a quizzing tool and a free document by KB6NU which can be had 
here:

I consider the NB6NU tool to be not quite enough because it never 
actually shows you the questions as they appear on the test.  But the 
quiz/test tools do.

Some would say that preparing for your tests in this way doesn't 
really teach you radio theory.  But some of the best hams I know 
don't even know which end of soldering iron gets hot!  (I suggest 
that if they ever plug one in, they're going to figure it out pretty 
fast, but still!)  Some of the worst know all of the radio theory but 
seem to know little of practice.  (And still others swear up and down 
that they know better than the engineers who design this stuff—but I 
generally ignore those guys all together.)
