When you're on the frequency you want to set the tone for, hit and hold the 
button above and slightly left of the lock/voice button until you get the 
second beep. That puts you in the menu with power, mic gain and what not, 
and it's in there if you tune the control that does memory channels, then to

adjust it you turn the tuning dial. With sighted help is easier but I've 
found if you have another receiver tuned to the transmit frequency with tone

squelch on, you can keep it keyed, dummy load or low power preferred, you 
can tune through the PL tones while it's keyed and you'll know when you find

it with that other receiver. I don't like doing it that way but have.
