Glad it is working for you Ed. Make a note of how you got out of
this, since it may happen again.
Don't know if your 590 is connected via USB. Just for the heck of it I
checked both my Win 7 and XP machines. If the 590 is connected via
USB and the power supply is on (even with radio off), the USB audio
codec for the 590 shows up as a sound device. I think the only time it
is a problem is if Windows decides to make it the "default" device,
and jaws is set to use the default device. This is why I have jaws set
on the XP and Win 7 pc's to use the onboard sound card/speakers and not
the "default" device.
I don't know why windows sometimes changes what it sees as the default
sound card, but I've seen it happen sometimes after a reboot, update,
or some other system event.
