HI there
I guess I will describe my shack. as you enter the room you are facing north, the door is in the southeast corner. You step into the room and immediately in front of you is a very comfortable loveseat, then as you go twoard the window is a small dresser used for misc storage and a window. Continuing around to the west past the window is a comfy twin bed, the headboard is slid up into the corner, and a large executive desk with 6 drawrs sits next to it on the west wall. To the left of the desk is another window and in that corner is a closet for more storage. Continuing around is a bookshelf loaded with cds and audio books and miscelanious stuff, usually my little 3 element uhf beam sits there ready to run out and grab a satellite pass., to the left is another matching closet and then the corner for the doorway.
On the desk is my macbook,, an ergonomic keyboard for my old pc and a set of shelves, sort of like a hutch that holds the astron power supply and the kenwood ts2000. Above those is a cd changer and usually an amplifier, and sometimes a tape deck, depending on if I'm listening to cassette books, or if it's in the entertainment center in the living room, it's usual home.
Aso on the desk is a yamaha mixer, which has the ts2000, the cd player, tape deck when present, and the macbook, as well as a windows desktop computer sitting on the top shelf or under the desk. This feeds all the sources including an audio technica xlr mic used for teamtalk, skype and when I'm hosting the quick learning techie show. I am one of the co hosts for that show, heard saturday at 8 pm eastern time
www.vrnw.org or www.edifiedaccess.net has info, also on I tunes.
anyway back to the shack.. also on the desk are a pair of Bose 201 bookshelf speakers, a wireless headset transmitter and of course the mic and a coaster for a cold drink well away from the keyboards

I hope to add a microphone boom, and additional cables to let me use that mic with both the mixer and the ts2000. I believe some creatibe cabling should allow that to work fairly easily. Other projects in the work are replacing the little shelves with ones that cover the whole esk, or better yet are mounded on the wall above the desk so I can raise the speakers and possibly mount the radio under the shelf

hope that was interesting for everyone
