The same goes for me too.
I'm on any number of e-mail groups, and have never experienced this level of
trepidation when joining.
I believe we did select my Yahoo profile in our latest attempt, but I'll
check with the XYL, since she helped me through the process.
We will hope for the best.

Now that you mention it, my first attempt to join via the yahoogroups site
was also denied.
From what I can recall, you need to select your yahoo profile first and then
subscribe.
If you've not done this already, maybe you culd give that a go.
Whilst I relise they obviously wish to keep the group free from spammers
etc, it all seems a bit over the top. I'm a member of several Yahoo groups,
and have never experienced this level of difficulty in obtaining membership.
