Even RG-8X, I'd run on HF, but never ever any higher in frequency than that,
RG-58 I only run where I need it, mobile, and go kit with short runs. The
only RG-8X in my station is where I made the 10 turns where it connects to
the twin lead for my G5RV, then it runs to my feed through panel since
that's only about 5 feet, better stuff is inside. Everywhere else is RG-9913
or LMR400. Physically, the LMR-400 is actually a little lighter but harder
to work with.
