Hi List,

I wonder if anyone is using an FM transmitter to send audio from a desktop
computer to an FM radio somewhere within their home or apartment. I have
been looking for one for quite a while. I asked Radio Shack and they only
had one for vehicle usage that ran on a cigarette lighter. I finally called
CCrane and they had one for 70 dollars and 90 cents. They said it had a
minimum range of 35 feet and a maximum of 70 feet. Since my house is small
and I only need about 15 to 20 feet from the several points to my desktop, I
ordered it. It was not what I expected. It is supposed to operate at 10
Miliwatts but I could only get clear reception about 5 feet away from the
desktop. It was reasonably accessible but hardly worth the 70 dollars and
90 cents--since I could barely hear it in my bedroom 15 feet away.

Does anyone know of a similar product with superior performance? If so can
you tell me where to purchase and approximate price?

Thanks for any help.

They ask me if I'm happy.
I say yes.
They ask me: "how happy are you?"
I say: "I'm as happy as a stowaway chimpanzee on a banana boat!"
