    Appreciate that as always, Junior.

I suspect the band will be considerably shorter than it was when we started
the round tables last Winter, so your relaying of stations from the south
will be quite helpful.

Tom, I will do what I can as a relay from Florida.

Subject: Saturday afternoon 40-meter east coast mid west round table

Hi, everyone.

I'd like to share some thoughts on our 40-meter east coast mid west
roundtable as we get into the late Spring and summer months.

First of all, in the short term, there is a fairly good chance that I'll be
around for tomorrow afternoon's session. I will be going to a local ham
fest in the morning, and have some other places to go in the early and mid
afternoon, but I think there's a reasonable chance that all of that will be
done by 4 p.m. Eastern. So, I'll plan to be on or near 7.185 at 4 p.m.
tomorrow. If someone else could be around to take things over, in case I
get delayed, that would be appreciated. The only other problems I see with
tomorrow's net is that if I do it, I'll be running bare foot, since I
haven't yet gotten my TW1 back from LDG. Secondly, I think tomorrow is the
Indiana QSO Party, but hopefully, we'll be able to work around that.

Regarding future round table sessions, I am going to become less frequently
available as we get further into May and into the Summer months. This is
because the XYL and I will be making rather frequent trips to the St. Louis,

MO area to visit with our son and his family, and also because we plan to do

a great deal of camping in our RV. I have an HF set-up in the RV, but only
have 100 watts, and a screw-driver-type antenna, which doesn't put me in a
very suitable position to be net control.

I think we can, and should be able to, continue our round tables throughout
the late Spring and Summer months, if others can step up and serve as net
control and as relays. Of course, I'll help too in any way that I can if
I'm available on any given Saturday.

These are just my thoughts, and I'd be interested in hearing opinions or
views from others.
