I would not recommend using the windows mail tweak with windows 7. If you
do this, you will not be able to install the service pack. I just went
through this issue. I had to reinstall windows 7 to fix the problem. This
is why I'm now using windows live mail 2011.

outlook express or windows mail as it was renamed to in vista, is still
available in windows 7 you just need to find it and enable it. They disabled
it in a sense, but all the files are still there, there's a web site on how
to do this and I did it on my netbook, new laptop, and for a few friends now
on their computers and it's worked fine on every single one so far. Outlook
is an option too but I don't like office 2007 which is what I have right now
on my computers, those ribbons, menus, whatever you want to call them are
just not something I can or every will get used to or like. That's just
really outlook and word, I don't notice it so much in other office programs
or anywhere else.
