well, WPA is kind of standard and universal, and if you use the proper type
of incription, IE the long type, it's allot harder to break.
It's like putting locks and an alarm system in your house...if a theef
really wants what you got, he's going to get it no matter what you do short
of putting everything in a bank vault.
I don't leave any really valuable info, such as SIN numbers, credit card
numbers or banking info on my computers anyway because I know as long as my
machine is connected to the internet, and a wireless access point, it's
vulnerable. Just common tech sence is all.
and as long as I use a decent virus checker, there ain't many people who are
going to specifically target me anyway...it's kind of one of those things
where you have to be specifically targeted for an attack of your system in
order for it to happen...with billions of computers online, the odds of your
machine getting hacked into are exceedingly slim. The concern is viruses
and infections and spyware and those sorts of things.
and with WPA incription on the wireless access point, not many people are
going to be able to get on your internet connection and download illegal
porn or music lol.
