Hi Fred, a millenium qsyer will work well with any of the IC-706 or 703 
radios.  If the qsyer's been updated, it'll give freq, mode, and maybe some 
other function  in CW read out.  If it hasn't been so updated, John'll 
update it, for  somewhere between cheap and free.  HTH, Danny Dyer, Wb4idu.
