            Kris:

Well, we had sort of a net today, although turn-out was quite low.

I worked with Junior (KG4ITD), and we got the following check-ins:

ka9yiu--Glenn in Wisconsin
wb1rtb--Steve in Massachusetts
WB6IVF--Gerry in Colorado and
N9KIW--Chip in Colorado.

Conditions were about the worst I have seen them on 20 meters for a while.
The band was quite noisy, and signals seemed to be down overall.

In saying this, I do need to qualify things a bit.

Due to the problems with my Carolina Windom, I was limited to the Alpha
Delta DXCC, which does seem to do slightly less well than the Windom. Also,
I couldn't get the amp to tune with the DXCC on 20 meters, so I was limited
to 100 watts. I'm not sure why the amp tunes fine with the DXCC on 40, but
not on 20, so that's another mystery to solve within the coming days.

Anyway, that's the report for this week, short as it is.

Will see everyone on 40 next Saturday afternoon, and hope for better
conditions on 20 next Sunday, the 13th.
