Butch:

My understanding is that it is the NR key--as in Noise Reduction.

It's the button at the 9 o'clock position in the little set of four buttons 
shaped like a cross just to the right of the main key pad.

I could be wrong, though.

Which key are you calling the m r key?  second from the bottom of the
group of four?  I can't get mine to do anything but go into receive.
