Hi Danny,

I've been set up on echolink with the pc for a few years.  I didn't have 
any problems with the port settings, but that probably would vary from 
one router to another.

I found getting myself verified with call and all that was not 
difficult, but believe they may have tightened up the procedures since I 
first got set up a few years back.

Echolink really isn't my preferred mode, but it does work and can have 
some advantages.  Guess I've just been an old cw op too long.

The way vhf and uhf have gotten recently with so many links and such, 
echolink seems to fit right in.  I still like the hf bands though, and 
also a lot of folks simply don't have the realestate or whatever to set 
up more sophisticated stations.

Hope you get it going without too much trouble.  I think there are a few 
folks on here using echolink with the touch, so maybe they can be of 
some real help.
