i'm not sure if this has already been answered cause i had to skip alot of E mail today, but multiple user accounts on echolink are possible if you use the windows version. You can set up multiple profiles with you callsign and her callsign and each of you will have seprate favorites and preferences. even seprate dtmf preferences if  you choose to set up a temporary or perminant on air node as wel, although i wouldn't really suggest that with a laptop.
