    Steve:

I changed the file to have a .htm extension, and it will now open in
internet explorer. However, there are no longer any links to click on, and
the file is full of =20 characters, like we sometimes get on the list if
someone isn't replying in text only format.

I also tried an hmt extension, but when I did that, the file wouldn't open
at all again.

To clarify, this only happens on my hard drive. The file stored on my
back-up thumb drive works just fine. All links work, and are accessible, so
far as I can tell.

I am sure this is a Windows issue of some kind, so any other suggestions
would be appreciated.

Tom,

Believe it or not, I wasn't trying to be funny. I'm not 100% sure renaming
the file will solve the problem, but I'd try it as a start. When you're
trying to fix a mysterious problem, you have to start somewhere, and that's
the first thing I would try. Not sure what to do if it doesn't work, but at
least it's a start.

Steve
