Evidently, we don't have to worry about the 590 manual at present.
I wrote kenwood after seeing that there was a new version, and below is 
their response.

There has been no changes to the TS-590S instruction manual it is the same

To whom it may concern:

I note the release of a new version of the user's guide for the ts590.  As
with the original version, the  pdf is secured in such a way as to prevent
the blind ham from extracting the text to put it in a more accessible form.
In October, you provided me with an unsecured version of this manual.
Would it be possible  to either provide me an unsecured version of the new
manual, or just a list of the changes so that I can update the accessible
copy?
