I take it that Elecraft have abandoned the original idea of incorporating
speech output in to the digital voice recorder unit?
Their intention to do this was stated on the K3 faq page for some time, but
I notice this is no longer the case.
I can only assume it wasn't feasible to pursue this idea after all.
Pity, as speech output as an integral part of the rig would have been the
most convenient option by far.
I await any developments with great interest, as I'm looking to replace my
1000mp in the next year or so, and the K3 is definately a strong contender.
It will be interesting to see if the anticipated high-end rig from Kenwood
has the same accessability features as the 590.
