Yes, the meter should be between the tuner and radio, I keep a tw-1 inline
though I use the internal tuner, when I was on the air anyway, more to
remember/note the readings. It will still help if something goes wrong. If
it's always saying 4.5:1 on 75 meters, suddenly you notice something
different and it says 10:1 on that same segment of the band, you know
something changed.
