Hi,
I installed the virtual com port driver from the Kenwood site. Both
installations succeeded. I then turned on the radio, and plugged the USB
cable from the radio into a USB port on the laptop. Windows 7 detected the
new harware, and reported the supporting driver was installed successfully.
However, now whenever I plug in the USB cable, I lose all audio from the
laptop. The audio returns when I unplug the cable. From what I can tell with
my low vision, the laptop is operating normally otherwise. I can open the
Start Menu, launch programs, etc.
I verified the audio in/out (Menu option 63) is set to ACC2. I've also tried
rebooting the computer. My next step will be to reset the radio.
Has anyone experienced this problem? How did you resolve it? Thanks for your
time.
