Hi, all.
Well, I think that, for a change, we won't have any major contests to deal
with this week-end if we want to try our 40-meter mid west east coast round
table on or near 7.185 MHZ.
I would propose that if we try it this week-end, we stick to our usual time
of 4 p.m. Eastern (2000 Z), and discuss the time change possibility during
the round table. I'm just afraid that if we decide something here on the
list, we might miss some people who don't subscribe and will not get the
word of the change.
I will be happy to help out with the net on Saturday afternoon, but,
realistically, I don't think I should assume net control. Weather
permitting, we are planning to be camping in our RV, where I will be limited
to 100 watts and the screw-driver antenna with my TS480.
I'm very willing to help with relays and such, but I really feel it would be
best for someone with a horizontally-polarized antenna and a little extra
power to take over main net control.
I'm interested in any thoughts from the group, especially if you have
concerns about anything I've proposed here.
