Every time I hear negative things about CP, I am reminded of my friendships with anti-war activists in the Vietnam era, many of whom claimed to be CPs (members of the Communist Party) although many of the claims were simply adolescent strutting. It amused me when, after a number of beers, one activist told me "you are the only one here lucky enough to be born in the CP."
