Last summer, at the suggestion of someone on this list (I think it was
Harvey), I called myradio store and found them very helpful. I bought
the Audio Vox Onyx. I think the antenna cable is 20 ft. long, so you
have some leeway in placement. You can also buy an extension cable if
needed.

The Onyx comes with a credit card size remote control which is pretty
neat. Another option for you would be to go someplace like e-bay or
allelectronics.com and getlong audio cables to connect between the
satellite radio and your stereo, so the radio and your home stereo don't
have to be side by side, if you need to spread things out.

BTW, while south facing is best, it depends on your location and
construction of your house. My south facing wall has no windows. It's
stucco, behind which is a metal mesh which makes that wall pretty much
rf proof. The antenna sits on the window sill of a west facing windo,
but angled towards the south west. Works fine for me.
