What is the motherboard you used to replace with? If the new board is ATX,
as opposed to micro-ATX, it doesn't have onboard video, and you will have to
install a video card to get a picture.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Replacing Motherboard in Gateway
I am a novice...let me start with that. Now, I replaced the motherboard
in my mom's computer...Gateway. I have everything hooked back up, I thin
k correctly.. The system will boot up, lights on, monitor on, keyboard o
n, fan's running and I can feel the harddrive running. Now, I get a mess
age on the monitor stating..No signal/ Check signal cable.
Can anyone help me dicepher this? I hooked my computer up to the monitor
and it comes on.
The old motherboard does not have a video card, and there is a slot on th
e new board for one, but is it needed to run this one? That is my only g
uess.
If anyone can help, this would be appreciated.
