How far is the computer that doesn't work from the router? Not now, but I 
used to live in an average house, semi finished basement, then 2 floors and 
we could access the internet wirelessly from anywhere in the house including 
basement and I even did it from out on the deck. Now I'm in a 4 room 
apartment and haven't checked my range from here beyond the apartment but 
I'm sure good within the apartment. Depending on the construction of the 
house you should be good for an average to large house I should think.
