Just returned from our trip to Boston. Thanks so much for all the responses I received about restaurants and stores in the Copley Square area.

Stores:
Whole Foods at 15 Westland Avenue was about a mile away.
Trader Joes at 899 Boylston Street was about the same distance.
Shaw's Supermarket was a block or two away. I'm not familiar with it and did not go there, but I think they may have had some GF items

Restaurants:
First I will list the restaurants we went to.
Lunch:
The Fairmont Copley Plaza did a fantastic smoked turkey club sandwich on GF bread.
Had lunch at Legal Sea Foods in Prudential Center. I had visited the location in Atlanta and was not terribly impressed. I had the fried shrimp both in ATL and Boston. The shrimp in Boston were DIVINE! I cannot say enough about how good they were. Fried shrimp was one of my favorite seafood dishes to get when dining out before I went GF. This was just as good as any regular gluten fried shrimp I have ever had.
Stone Hearth Pizza in Cambridge was very, very good. I had a delicious salad and a GF Margherita pizza. The ingredients were so fresh and the crust was wonderful--thin, crispy, and not a strong taste. Just the way pizza crust should be! They also had an excellent GF brownie and GF chocolate chip cookie. YUM!
P.F. Chang's in Prudential Center was the typical restaurant that is all over the country. Delicious as usual.

Dinner:
Davios on Arlington Street was by far the best meal we had during our weeklong stay. I had the most wonderful GF pasta for an appetizer. I had sauteed shrimp for my entree and it was heavenly.
Papa Razzi on Newbury Street was not so great. We got a GF Margherita pizza for an appetizer. It was delicious--one of the best GF pizzas I have had. Had a tasty salad, but then my GF pasta dish came out. It looked very good, but I had to send it back and ask that they take it off my check. It was inedible because it was undercooked. Tough, almost hard noodles. My husband said it's the first time he can ever remember me sending something back. I took about four bites because I kept thinking surely it was going to be good, but it wasn't. They were apologetic and offered free dessert, so we took them up on it. I had cappuccino gelato that was delicious. However, when they brought our check they had charged us for it. I didn't necessarily think they had to give us free dessert; but since they said they would I was astonished that they had charged us for it. Needless to say, we were not impressed.
Eastern Standard on Commonwealth Avenue was okay. I had a shrimp cocktail and a steak. My husband agreed that it was just so-so.
Nebo on North Washington Ave. was very good. We had GF pizza again for an appetizer and it was delicious. Their GF pasta was much better than Papa Razzi, but not as good as Davios. I chose one with a simple white wine/olive oil sauce. It was very good.
Grill 23 & Bar on Berkeley was very good. I had a shrimp cocktail and steak with a salad.
And last but not least was The Elephant Walk. It was delicious! I had seared haddock with sauteed corn and tomatoes. I would go there again for sure! My husband's was fantastic as well.

The restaurants that were recommended from the people who responded to my initial request were:
Nebo
Davios
Papa Razzi
Eastern Standard
The Elephant Walk
Burton's Grill
Legal Sea Food
P. F. Changs Park Place and also Prudential Center
Myers and Chang (South End)
Elephant and Castle
Wagamama
Upstairs on the Square (Harvard Square in Cambridge)
Stone Hearth Pizza (Porter Square in Cambridge)
Bar Lola on Beacon and Dartmouth

Also www.healthyvilli.org was recommended. It is the local celiac support group site.

I believe this is everything--thank you so much for all your suggestions!
