Hi, all.

Regarding the TS480 firmware upgrade, I have a few more questions:

1. Once you have done the update, will the VGS1 resume speaking, or do you
have to re-program the radio to recognize the chip. If so, that would
require sighted assistance, correct?

2. Once you do the firmware update, and do the required re-set, am I
correct in saying that all of your previous menu settings and memory
channels will be gone? That's not a big problem in my case, since I don't
have too many of them, but it would be a good thing to know in advance.

and

3. If someone tries the key combination to find out what firmware version
you already have, please let me know if the VGS1 announces that. I think
the key conbination is the mic ptt button, plus the NR key on the control
head.
