Butch, Socialo Security works in ways that even they don't understand. Having
worked with clients on SSI and SSDI for about 25 years I'd recommend that you
wait until you have something in writing. I know that some people will say that
you should contact them immediately and talk to someone but if you do you're
going on just a telephone conversation or some such and you may rock your own
boat. Once you have something in writing I would then file for an appeal. At
that point you can decide whether you want to involve an attorney. However, as
I said at the beginning of this, don't rock your own boat but very definitely
respond to anything you get in writing.
