There was one station who I almost heard a couple of times, but no go.
Instead of an amplifier, I would still investigate a different antenna for
20 meters, if possible.  What town in Florida are you near?  I want to get
some idea of what bearing you are from here.  I won't be able to rotate my
antenna for a couple more months, yet.
