I had a few issues using HRD with the ts2000.
when first starting everything up, in order, that is computer on, then
radio, then HRD started, everything seemed to work ok.
But after a few minutes, some of the functions accessed through HRD to the
radio would stop working.
I'm not sure if this was an operating system issue, or what. I reinstalled
the latest version of HRD, made sure I had a straight through serial cable
and set my baud rate to the recommended setting for the ts2K.
I would always have to restart HRD after turning the radio off and back on
again to get things to work properly again.
I have never really had any use for HRD with the ts2000 because when your
sitting in front of the radio, it's easier to reach over and make your
adjustments than trying to make the computer do it in a less than screen
reader friendly application.
any of the other sub apps, like the PSK and digital mode app and the logger
and dx cluster app and so on aren't usable for the most part with screen
readers, so the whole program seemed pointless to me.
I guess there is some usefulness using the remote functions, and of course
it helps to make radios that don't have voice output more accessible with
the HRD's spoken mode, freq and S meter functions.
