Hi
I am taking a few minutes away from my college studies to look at my
antenna. It is a quarter wave wire for 75 meters. Well, at least it should
be. Right now at the top end of the band it is running a 8.3 to one SWR. At
the bottom of 80 meters it is running a 3.8 SWR. What puzzles me is that as
the SWR goes down the forward power is also going down. What is going on
here?
On another thought. I am sure people will wonder why I didn't put up a
dipole. Well, to keep the antenna on the property, I had to put an insulator
part way down the quarter wave wire and bend it in a horizontal L. So you
can imagine what a dipole would look like. Hi Hi.

God bless,
Mark
