ON the GMV71A you have to enable a button, like the TM-271A, but not the 
TMG707A, that one you don't have to. The D button is enter as soon as you 
enable mic control. you can leave the top 4 as band, call, memory and vfo. 
in fact with mic control enabled, the B button is always voice so you don't 
even need to enable the dimmer button to be the voice button if you don't 
want to though I did anyway.
