Hello,

I've been looking at the manual on Kenwood's new TS-2000 and so far as
I can determine, the VS-3 synthesizer not only speaks the frequency but
gives you the menu number and settings. I am assuming this is the case
for their other radios in which this synthesizer works, so I'd like to
hear from people as to how well this works. Can one really navigate the
menus in these radios and use them independently? I'd also be interested
in hearing if anyone has had any experience using any of the handheld full
coverage scanners such as the Yaesu VR500, Alinco DJX10, or Icom R10.
