Actually, the TM-G707A and TM-V7A were out at the same time, they even look
very similar, only difference is the 707 doesn't have duel receive and the
TM-V7A does have duel receive but I used the 707 in scan mode like most of
my radios, I can't listen to 2 QSO's at once very well and when you consider
I generally have a police scanner on, 900 MHz, local club repeaters for the
clubs I belong to, and HF, when I'm on it's all the same to me. My ts-2000
has speakers on either side of me, one for HF, one for 2 meters and 440 with
the 2 meters and 440 side usually scanning, same thing to me as having the 2
radios before only takes up less space and where I live now, I don't have
room for that extra radio, even 900 MHz I have to really reach for that
radio. I don't have shelves anymore with radios hanging under them because
there's a window behind the radio desk, 900 MHz radio is mounted in a base
station consol.
