too bad you don't still have the packing material for your rig...most of
them come packed in a plastic cover sort of thing...not a bag....you just
have to cut the bottom flaps off the cover and you could have a nice heavy
plastic cover for the radio.
alternatively, perhaps you could find a universal sized cover made for
stereo receivers and so on...most older stereo receiver amps were about the
same size as the standard HF rig.
Or, if you want to modify one a little, buy a guitar amp cover with the
right dimensions and cut the excess off the bottom to fit over the radio.
These can be had for around $20 to $40 depending on size and material used.
You can find custom guitar amp cover makers on ebay...actually, a customized
sized guitar amp head cover would work just fine.
You basically just tell them the width and depth you want, and request a
head cover...which would be about 6 inches high or so....usually made out of
some sort of heavy canvus or other dust resistant material.
Or, try office supply shops...you can get dust covers for printers, monitors
and computers etc.
