Matt:
well, assuming the echolink app is actually accessible using voiceover, it
should be fairly obvious by touching around the screen as to where the TX
button is etc.
I doubt echolink.org would have any instructions for using the app as it
would be pretty obvious for any sighted user using the app as to what is
what on the screen.
I don't have an IPhone per sey, but my experience is that the places on the
screen where the send and end buttons are usually located, just above the
home key, would be the prime spots to put a "tx" or "rx" button.
with vioceover running, you should be able to explore the screen without
activating anything...this way you can familiarize yourself with the app.
If you are getting no audio feedback from voiceover, it likely means the
echolink app isn't accessible with voiceover.
on another note, a few guys around here have been using echolink on their
IPhones to monitor and chat on the main local repeater and the audio is
excellent...better than a typical PC microphone or headset.
Sometimes the lag time is a bit lengthy, especially when they're using their
service providers data link instead of a WiFi connection, but it does work
well.
