Are you sure it was new? My landlord buys a lot of used appliances and some
from like bargain outlet warehouses all looking brand new so comes up with
accessible appliances though I got lucky with my stove, it was there when
they bought the place. He asked if we wanted to use it or go with a newer
one and we told him so long as it works we'll stick with what we have for
the reason of accessibility but I looked at a couple other ones and he did
it in the other apartments as well. He gave us the choice, a new gas stove,
or the electric that was there when he bought the place, condition unknown
but if it didn't work he'd have replaced it.
