Yes it is a very cleverly addressed scam, but the jist of the message goes 
back to the Nigerian Prince scam at the beginning of the Internet, and 
probably through junk paper mail, since the beginning of time.  Since it is 
from a name we know, I am assumming it's a virus scam that has co-opted 
Pat's address book.
