One of the exciting things at Dayton was the Flex Radio 1500. It's a QRP (5
Watt) all band software defined radio for $650. Although most SDR software
is still highly GUI dependent, keyboard shortcuts are becoming more common
and accessibility via screen readers is looking more promising.

Subject: Dayton Hamvention Report

Hi,
Did anyone who went to Dayton see anything interesting.

Such as the german-made magnetic loop antenna with keypad frequency =
control made by Wimo of West Germany.

How about any new or nifty antennas for us apartment dwellers such as =
ones made by the company in Tennessee whose name I can't remember at the =
moment.

I've got it! Transworld antennas.

Any new qrp rigs on the horizon other than the Yaesu FT817ND or the Icom =
IC703 which is no longer in production.

Eric
