For the last couple of nights, about 8 PM Mountain time, I am hearing a pile
up spread across about 7 or 8 KHz at the bottom of 40 meters. The
transmitting station I know is on 7004 because all the traffic cops of the
40 meter band keep telling people transmitting on that frequency, that he is
listening up the band and to get off that frequency, but I cannot, for the
life of me, copy a single peep on that frequency tonight or last night,
either one. Does anybody have an idea who this might be since half the
United States is trying to call him across the bottomed 25 KHz of the band?
I mean, normally, no matter what, I can hear the signal even if I can't copy
the call sign but this one has me stumped.

Phil.
