Hi.

I have a TS-2000 as well as a TM-V71A, and I like the additional feedback of
the 71A, such as PL tone frequency and power level. There is a workaround
on the TS-2000 for less speech feedback, and that is to use the keypad to
enter in your memory number. If you're not sure of the memory channel, then
enter a channel you know is close to it, and the radio does announce the
frequency. If you're using the mic to switch between memories, program one
of the function keys to give voice readout. You can hit that to stop the
speech.

Have a great day, and don't work too hard.

GO REDS!
