actually, in reality, what you've never seen before is a 24 7, insatiable
news and current issues media that will analyze and sensationalize you to
death if given half a chance.
we've never before been exposed to this much mass media and this many hugely
influential media personalities and authors.
People don't realize how much their sence of reality is built upon what they
hear and see and read in the media.
American media is famous, or infamous for attempting to influence the
reader/listener/watcher towards one political agenda or another. There are
republicans, and democrats. they're two different worlds that must extend
their own agenda's to the discredit of the other. This creates a terribly
competative media and in competition, especially in the media, facts and
figures are adjusted to fit the agenda or to maximize ratings.
in american media you are never just given the facts regarding a political
situation, it always has to be biased towards one party or the other.
and, no matter if you try to balance your view point by exposing yourself to
both sides, they are so much into agenda mongering that neither side will
tell you the truth about the matter at hand, but are more interested in
smearing the other parties reputation.
So, now that media will grab onto any spec of scandle, or are payed to
present things in the favor of one party or another ad nausium, we are
bombarded with this garbage everyday, all day, 365 days a year. It has
never been this bad. We think it's worse now because it's being shuvved
down our throats in every form of media, but it's no different than it's
always been.
In reality, the US government, as with most first world governments, is
doing better than it ever has with regard to it's main objectives. There is
a huge amount of controled kayos, that to the average person seems like
everything is spinning out of control, but in reality allot of this stuff is
very well orchestrated and planned for well in advance.
