I have been using a Logitech device for years without difficulty. It consists of a USB dongle which transmits sound to a small black device which then inputs the sound to a stereo via RCA plugs. I have been using it on my Dell Inspiron e1405 running Windows XP. One day, it stopped working. I know it's the computer problem because it works on my wife's computer.
