I fly a great deal and so I'm a United "1K" members. As such, I get some
special treatments, including a personal phone call today from one of their
customer service people responding to an email I sent noticing that special
meal service has been changed.
Whereas before they served gluten free meals across the entire flight
routes, the Bottom line is that now they will only serve gf meals on two
flight routes in the US (JFK to SFO and JFK to LAX).
Please contact United. Call them. Email the CEO: [log in to unmask]
Tell him he will lose business from the Celiac community as a result of this
terrible decision. Ask him why he went from his own airline (Continental)
which had a good special meal policy, took over United (he was made the CEO
after the merger) which also had a good special meal policy, and then
dismantled and ruined the whole thing. Tell him you'll fly other airlines
instead of his, ones that do treat the celiac community with respect.
Thank you. Let's hit them where it hurts - their wallets.
