Thanks for sharing the window article. This is an important message, given credibility and prominence in the venerable NYT, and I'll pass this around the office.
We are so glad we have our old windows with their wavy glass and characteristic sash tracks. Cheap aluminum storms have protected the windows for many years, buying time until we came along, I guess. The shutters, too, are original, but they are a real mess. We're just beginning to tackle the problems of our exterior walls, with paint failure and crumbling stucco. It's going to be an interesting year...
