This puts me of mind back when Albania had no ham operators for years. Then when they allowed hams to come over and run their country for a dxpedition as a ZA1 prefix, the bands went nuts. I tried to work them a few times but gave up. I sold my TH6 tri band antenna and for awhile, the only antenna I had left was a TH2 which was an old 2 element tri bander. I put it on a tripod on my roof about 20 feet height one late afternoon. Eventually I tuned it up and saw it was ok on 20 so I tuned around. a ZA1 came on and called CQ and I was the first to work him running 100 watts and the little beam. I guess I'll do the same with these new Caribbean countries.
