Well, you may be right, Steve, but I thought I remembered some of the older 
spell checkers letting that go as one word.  But one other thing is that for 
example, when I was taught grammar, you wrote an abbreviation in capital 
letters with a period between the letters.  Now the accepted way is to just 
write them in all caps, because that's how the newer spell checkers seem to 
prefer them.
