I do believe that Icom is still making the IC703 Plus which adds 6 meter 
coverage to the original 703.

    I did get my hands on the new Kenwood TS590, but the rig was not hooked 
up to an antenna and though its power was on, no sound was coming out of the 
rig and no brochures were available either.  At least, I could touch the 
rig, on the other hand the new Icom IC9100 was at Dayton, but it was in a 
plastic box, so I didn't even try to find it after I heard that.

The TS590 is coming out late this fall and the rumored price was around 
$1800.  The rig kind of looked like a TS850, but Kenwood reps kept talking 
about the rigs exceptional receiver.  A VGS1 voice board will be available 
as an option.
