I read where someone posted that Makers Mark was not gluten free and
wish to set the record straight. It is gluten free and I am including
the answer I received below.
Terri, Maker's Mark is double distilled and this strips the gluten
from the red winter wheat we use as our flavoring grain. I have Celiac
friends who do splendid with Maker's Mark, but I always invite folks
to ask their doctor for the best recommendation.

Message: Are Makers Mark and Makers 46 gluten free? I heard that you
add the mash back in after the bourbon is distilled. Is this so? If it
is, then it is not gluten free. BTW I am an Ambassador for Makers Mark
and want to let the Celiac Community and myself aware of the gluten
free status of your bourbon. Thank you, P.S.
